Went last Saturday with Gela, Jamie, Tim and Philip. :)
Hundreds of people attended!
Many were blessed.
A significant number got saved. :)

As promised. Here’s the KOREAN ICE CREAM!

Abu got the yellow banana thingy. It’s more of an ice-candy/slushie treat than a creamy ice cream pop. Nevertheless, it was somehow good naman. I liked the texture and the banana and the hint of milk blended really well.

I thought my pick was better. Chocolate covered on the outside. Creamy vanilla goodness in the inside. And on the core, sweet strawberry filling. :D It’s kinda like Pinipig, but not necessarily better but hmm.. spiffy-er! I just wished that it was more tasty rather than icy. It is some eye candy though. ;)

Sorry I couldn’t resist posting this pic! :D

These Korean Ice Cream should be available at any Korean convenience store near you. But these, I got my treats from Cityland Tower, Pablo Ocampo St., Malate, Manila.

Finally I can blog. There is still so much due in school though… :(

This Thursday, Abu and I had our post-Christmas and New Year celebration. It’s really late, I know. But that’s how we roll! ;)

THE AGENDA: What we planned and what really happened.

We kinda woke up late and had stuff to attend to in the morning. So we settled to leave home at 10am. The initial plan was 8am or 9. So yeah, we definitely had to cut some of our activities aka Avatar. I know right? Loser, haven’t watched Avatar.

We weren’t able to get our palms read because we couldn’t find any around the area. We did find a poster of one saying it is located in a nearby condo building. But we were kinda scared of it being in a secluded area. Baka kung anong gawin sa amin! Next time, next time.

For the Ice cream buffet, we thought about it and we decided to dismiss it since it was all the way to Rockwell and the buffet ain’t so err affordable either – 360 per person! And I’m sure I won’t be able eat a lot naman. So at the end of the day, we settled for Korean Ice Cream sold in a Cityland condo near DLSU. I shall blog ‘bout it after this entry. Get ready for lovely pictures of them sweet treats! Yay! :D

So… I’ve only been to 168 twice (this trip included). And gosh, it’s so overwhelming to shop there! So many stalls, all the same items, so many people, narrow walking areas, etc. I’m kind of disappointed though ‘coz I didn’t find much good finds as I expected. I was able to buy a dress, a polo shirt, 2 necklaces, pretty/glam/sexy/classy scarves (hence the picture above), and that’s it I think – more or less a thousand bucks were spent. I was scouting for cocktail rings. Fail! Plus, if i must say there are the same price as here anyway – Usually 80Php.

The rest, the prices we’re okay. It’s definitely still better than mall tiange stalls, tianggeng pang-mayaman, which are still rather overpriced. One example would be Alabang Town Center.

A purchase of this pocket watch in ATC would entail 500 bucks. In 168, the damage is only 150. But yes, panira yung Zhongfa. A smaller version of this is 130 in 168. In ATC, it’s 350 methinks.

I purchased this other cute necklace at 168. The damage: 120 bucks. In online stores I’ve seen – 400 bucks. I’m sure they get their supplies in 168 rin naman anyway.

I’m really cheap, I know. Iba pa rin talaga yung feeling, the thrill, pag UkayDirt Cheap Luxuries! :D Abu and I are planning to go Ukay hunting all over the Metro. I’m sure to keep you guys posted for that. In the meantime… Anyone wanna come with?

168 Mall is located in Divisoria… uhm somewhere there. I know I suck. Haha. Basta you’ll know naman eh!

010910. Batch Reunion.
T’was nice seeing these peeps again. T’was some fun. I wish more came though.
I had the opportunity to propose Project LL to my dear friends, and I am glad they’re game for it. Yay! Can’t wait to make memories with these guys this year.

There was definitely some reunion going on here. Sort-of. *Kilig!* The only thing I can say, is that this event definitely kicks off my year on a renewed blank slate.

On another note, Gela and I took some Lookbook pictures of ourselves and posted this BFF entry on the site. Yay! But, boo! Lookbook emailed me the day after saying they flagged the photo because you can’t have multiple persons in one entry. BOOO!

I think I’m starting to get obsessed with journals/planners/blogs. I have too much choices that I wouldn’t know where to write them first.

Well, I’m not really using all those notebooks in the picture right now, just the Starbucks 2010 Planner, the little black notebook with a little bird drawn on it, and the Blanc Noir. Each has it’s own purposes but I shall stick talking ‘bout the Blanc Noir.

It ain’t just mine. It’s a property of my barkada – our ‘The Gang’ notebook! Haha. I know, I know, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is that you? Well, yes it is… some twisted sabaw version of it atleast. It is actually a sequel to another notebook of ours, the Slamdunk one, way back in highschool pa. We decided to have a second ‘The Gang’ notebook -“The College, Not-just-about-boys, Unjologs Edition” – since we have different schools now and we hardly see each other and we need to catch up so bad! It’s a preservation of the friendship pact, you see!

Yeah it’s funny ‘coz right now, as I blog, I feel like some giddy preteen.

I was definitely excited when Gela brought it to el high school batch reunion (which I will blog about later on) yesterday. It means it was finally my turn to keep it and write on it. Plus, I could finally read up on my friends’ updates about their lives. My term will last for 2 good ol’ weeks ‘till I pass it on to Jamie. It’s only our second round since it started.

I’m also excited for Shiriel’s 5-month stay here in Manila. She can finally have a grasp of el notebook, since she moved to Davao after 3rd year high school. She’s going to continue her studies here in Manila. And, she promised we’ll go to the Manga Library together. That’ll be sometime in February. Yay! and Awesome!

Hm. You may be asking, why settle for snail mail? Why not just have a group blog or just simply chat to update yourselves or whatever. We ain’t Neanderthals. Of course we chat. But the notebook – it’s tradition. It has its own charm to it. :) It wouldn’t feel the same way or feel as giddy as something virtual.
