Had a fun shoot with the master Alfred Ong. Make-up by the beautiful Macci Macaranas and styling by lovely Joy Ng.
This was shot in the Pasay Area, that vacant lot next to Blue Wave. The sun was scorching hot, that my bare feet were burning, top and bottom, where the ground was deep-frying me despite having flip-flops on. I went home and my mother got shocked at how much darker I became in just a day (as if it this is not enough already). Haha! But it was all good fun. I’ll post more pics when they’re ready

It’s been a long while since my powdered mineral foundation went out. It’s time to get a new one, but this time I wanted to go back to the old pressed powder because I felt it would give me more but just the right amount of coverage.
So I was looking through a local department store and tried different brands – from the cheap to the high ends. After an hour of browsing, I found this hidden treasure in some corner, away from the kulit salesladies who kept on putting products on my face. Haha.
Say hello to Eyes. Lips. Face. Clarifying Pressed Powder! What I love about this product is that it’s so smooth. It glides easily on the skin. It’s light. It doesn’t cake. It doesn’t feel like you have make-up on, yet you get good coverage. I know all these are cliche lines from makeup ads, but this is for real this time. Plus, unlike other powders I’ve tried that day, this one didn’t whiten face. You all know I have darker skin than the average, right? So it’s really hard to find a powder that really blends in… until now.
The damage? P129.75. What can get better than that?

Last May 1, my “Usual” barkada celebrated our anniversay. I forget how many years we’ve been together, but nevertheless here we go. And it’s been so long since we got back together, well just me hanging out with them.. because of some.. err. reasons. Haha!
At the same time, we had a one-day advanced celebration of the lovely lovely Allen I’m not really an expert on events planning especially if its a surprise, so yeah, I was really tense before the big reveal. I even thought the whole secret was out way before, because we were so damn noisy planning it out and without a clue that Allen was in our midst all along! Haha. But it was all worth it. Allen told me he had no clue whatsoever. Yay!
Oh and our cake – I got it from Cake2Go – Strawberry Shortcake, cute cute cake it is. I know the picture isn’t that well appetizing but kasi we were in Joy’s new and still underconstruction house. We overlooked the utensil’s so we had a problem about that. Allen didn’t mind us fingering his cake (haha) bit by bit – The chocolate-covered strawberry was definitely yum. And then we had decided to eat it before the whole cake melts. So we used a cardboard to cut up the then-mushy cake and grabbed and ate it by hand, hence the picture of struggle over there. Haha. It was delicious, but could’ve been better when chilled longer.
But before the whole surprise thing, we swam in el lovely lovely pool. Before the above shot, everyone was so noisy and horsed around, but when I had cam in the pool area, everyone hushed up ready to pose and smile. Haha. Love this shot! The water is a good stylized reflector.
